The Shipyard

It’s been a week since I finished the West Highland Way — 96 miles in 7 days, of old military roads, muddy trails, endless climbs, wild landscapes and weather that had absolutely no mercy.

Scotland gave me everything — mountains disappearing into the clouds, lochs stretching into the distance, silence so deep you could hear your own thoughts… and rain that went straight through every layer and deep into your bones.

There were moments when my legs were done.

Moments when the weather made me question my choices.

And moments when I stopped, looked around, and felt incredibly small in the middle of it all. But that’s the beauty of the trail.

A week later, I’m home. The boots are drying, the backpack is unpacked, the legs are recovering.

But my mind?

It’s still somewhere between the lochs and the Munros, walking through the rain.
