Citius, Altius, Fortius

Inspired by the life story of Notis, who lost his leg in a car accident, I created this photographic series by following him for a day during his swimming pool fitness training. Notis is a proud member of the Greek National Wheelchair Basketball Team.

This project aims to shed light on the world of Paralympic athletes—individuals whose strength, discipline, and perseverance often go beyond what is seen on the surface. Their daily commitment, both physical and mental, reflects a level of determination that deserves far greater recognition.

Although Paralympic sport has grown over the years, it still does not receive the same visibility as the Olympic Games. Through this series, I hope to contribute to a wider appreciation of these athletes and the inspiring journeys behind every competition.
